"One of the happiest moments during our National Service Training Program was when we held children’s party in Brgy. Roxas last week. The purpose of this event is to help the indigent children of the said place to give little act of happiness and kindness by means of games, giving foods, and gift-giving. We also gave some information about the society. The event was a success. It was hard to work and interact with these kinds of people, but we consider it as one of the most exciting moment of our lives. In addition, the memories and values that we shared with this children will never be forgotten. Thus, these children were happy to leave the place with big smiles in their faces.”

"At first I don’t like NSTP2. Why? Because I thought its boring, that we will just clean the community under the heat of the sun and we’ll get tired. But, whenever I pass through their road and bridge, I knew that they need our help to beautify and to maintain cleanliness in their surroundings. That’s why I realized that those help that we could give to them were just simple and we will not get bored or tired, because we will do those things with all our hearts. I felt happiness whenever I see them smile because we give them our helping hands. I also learned something new, that NSTP2 is not only about cleaning the community and beautifying. It’s also about sharing and loving. Especially the kids. We share them not only material things, but also laughters, love and we let them feel that we are one family, that we are here for them, to guide them, and to take care of them like our siblings. I feel very happy beacause this subject taught me something that no one could take away from me. It’s loving, helping and sharing not only to your family but also to those people who need you. We should not ignore them, we should love them, for we are all a children of God. I enjoyed this subject even though it’s tiring to walk from school to baranggay Roxas.”

"Having our NSTP 102 at first sounds like boring because of the thought that we will clean community and beautify the area. But after all the meetings we had, I realized that beyond all the help we gave to the community, there is the happiness and love that we also shared to them. NSTP 102 is not only about community service but also about giving ang sharing of what we have to others. I learned to socialize with other people even though I don’t know them. All in all, I realized that this subject is not the common thing we know; community service, cleaning and others, but it is more than that. NSTP 102 is one of the subjects that I learned to treasure. I can never forget everything about it especially the camaradie that I gained. I am glad to have this subject and I enjoyed everything."

"In doing the community service, I have experienced and realized a lot of things. These experiences have been useful to me because I’ve learned how to be more independent, how to help people who are in need and how to understand each family’s status in life. I’ve realized that even the smallest things can make these children happy. I am so glad that organizing the children’s party has brought happiness to them. I am so happy, too, because of the time I had with my friends and classmates. We have so many memories to keep. This experience has made our friendship stronger and deeper. It was a tiring task, but all our efforts are rewarding and totally worth it. Seeing those smiles from their faces makes my heart melt with happiness and joy."

"Many things I have learned regarding the NSTP102 that we conducted with my peers at the Baranggay Roxas; from the beginning of our activities in cleaning the street, communicating with other people from different houses, informing them regarding our projects in feeding children and setting up a small party for the children. I’m so happy when I saw the children enjoying so much during the party despite of severe heat of the sun. But in the end, everybody is happy and having so much fun, especially the children. Conducting a community service is indeed a very tiring task, however, the feeling of happiness, fulfillment and achievement after conducting the program is unexplainable. Especially when you see the happy faces of the participants, with regards to the values that I learned in the community service, I learned how to be productive and punctual with all the task assigned to me. I also learn to exercise my patience in dealing with the people. And of course, the team work and cooperation that we had in completing this community service."

"NSTP 102. Most commonly, kilala sa pag-tulong o pag-explore sa communities. In short, community service. First time ko itong ginawa. Kasi, as a group and as a section, nasubok ang pagkakaisa namin. It’s worth it. Madaming memories sa Baranggay Roxas."

"NSTP 102.

Community Service Part 4
"I have learned to appreciate and count all the blessings God has been showering me up to this time. Foremost, I have learned the value of sharing and how rewarding it is to share our blessings to those who are less fortunate. It feels so good to see the wide smiles registered on their faces when we give them food and at the end of the day. I feel so blessed because I became an instrument to make the children happy during our NSTP subject. All in all, the entire experience is very rewarding and fulfilling. Kudos to all NSTP students from TUA!"
